- IUPUI Athletics has received nationwide coverage from; ABC World News Tonight, NY Times and LA Times, regarding Men’s Basketball Coach Ron Hunter’s involvement with Samaritan’s Feet.

The IUPUI Department of Athletics has announced that IUPUI sophomore diver Chen Ni has been named the IUPUI Student-Athlete of the Month for February.

Ni shattered The Summit League record on the 3-meter board during the conference championships en route to her second consecutive 3-meter title.  In the preliminaries of the event, Ni recorded a score of 311.60 over six dives, erasing the previous conference mark of 282.70, set by Ni in last year's conference championship.

In the finals, Ni took the 3-meter crown with a score of 307.50, the second-best score in both IUPUI and Summit League history.  The two scores above 300 were the first of Ni's career.

The sophomore was runner-up for The Summit League Diver of the Year title and was one of two Jaguars to earn All-Summit League honors.

The honor is the fifth of Ni's career, and second of the 2009-10 season.

Ni will compete on the platform at the Zone C Diving Championships March 12-14 at Purdue University in an effort to qualify for the NCAA Championships, which will also be held in West Lafayette, Ind., March 18-20.

Men's Basketball
Senior basketball standout Robert Glenn has earned his second straight IUPUI Male Student-Athlete of the Month honor after leading the Jaguars to a 6-1 record during the month of February. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged a team-high averaged a team-high 22.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and earned two Summit League Player of the Week awards in four weeks.

He connected on 61 percent of his field goal attempts and 75 percent at the foul line while also averaging 2.6 assists a night.

He opened the month with five straight 20+ scoring games including a 27-point outburst at Western Illinois on Feb. 6 and a 28-point effort at Oral Roberts on Feb. 13. He had two straight monster performances on Feb. 18 and 20, recording 29 points and a career-high five assists in a win over UMKC. Two nights later, he had 28 points, six boards, four assists and three steals against Southern Utah.

He notched his third double-double of the season at North Dakota State on Feb. 25, finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds in that victory.

He currently leads The Summit in scoring and ranks second in field goal percentage. He also ranks among the league's top 10 in rebounding, steals and blocked shots.
